MONIQUE LECOUNA

Find beauty in the rustic, beauty in the imperfect, perfection in imperfection.

Monique Lecouna works with abandoned objects found in the street. She chooses them for their shapes, their colors, with a predilection for rusty metal objects. For the designer, oxide evokes the flow of time, the transformation of matter.

She then began to recover "the time" to add other materials such as silver, bronze, stones and transform it into real jewelry.

Visual artist of Argentinian origin Monique Lecouna graduated from Fine Arts in Buenos Aires “Prilidiano Pueyrredon” her hometown. After studying painting and visual arts, she studied jewelry at the “Taller Elois” jewelry institute. Since 2013 she has participated in various exhibitions around the world.
